The track leads mostly through high alpine areas. Therefore, every participant is obliged to carry during the whole race the obligatory equipment, Hannes shows you in the video. Further obligatory material can be prescribed by the OC. 

 The obligatory equipment must be taken and shown at the bib distribution where it will be checked individually. Controls are also possible at any time during and after the race. If it cannot be shown when demanded, the person is either not allowed to start or there will be a time penalty or even disqualification.
